How to get Help

Please send in a completed application form with a cheque for £50 (non-refundable) made out to South Bucks Counselling to:

The Intake Co-ordinator, South Bucks Counselling, The Cottage behind The Hub, Easton Street, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP11 1NJ

You can print the application form or alternatively phone our office (01494 440199) and we can send one in the post to you. If you are on a low income please contact our office to see if we can help you.

What happens next?

Following receipt of your application form, an intake counsellor will then contact you to arrange a date and time for an appointment. You need to allow one-and-a-half hours for this initial appointment.

At this appointment, you will be given the opportunity to:

  1. Describe your situation.
  2. Discover how our service works.
  3. Hear what the counsellor can offer.
  4. Explore whether counselling is for you.
  5. Discuss suitable counselling times.

After the initial appointment, the Intake Team will usually allocate a counsellor to work with you. In the occasional circumstance when we consider that the service we provide does not best match your requirements, we will let you know. In this case, we will always try to supply information about more appropriate services.

The ongoing counselling we offer consists of regular weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes for a period agreed with your counsellor.
